Although most vehicles suffer from a limited view of the area directly behind the rear bumper, an SUV’s higher ride height and generous proportions make this type of vehicle the worst offender.
Rear-view cameras are becoming standard equipment on more SUVs, as is the case with the Kia Sorento R Limited.
Unfortunately, by only offering the camera on the top specification model Kia makes it more of a sales feature and less of a genuine commitment to safety. I believe it should be standard across the range, on all SUVs.
