New generation GT spec.B offers more performance, more technology and outstanding fuel economy in a luxury package that is squarely targeted at the European premium car buyer.
Subaru’s fulltime Symmetrical All Wheel Drive, and its low-slung, turbocharged Subaru Boxer engine, provide outstanding control and handling performance characteristics that Subaru says compare favourably to Legacy’s European competitors.
The 2010 Legacy GT’s 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine is now rated at 195kW, an 11kW improvement over the outgoing model.
Torque has also risen from 339Nm to 350Nm, which is now produced 1200 rpm lower down the rev scale from 2400 rpm.
The new Legacy GT has more low-rev torque than before, which translates to better performance in real world driving situations, because that 350Nm is available all the way from 2400 rpm to 5200 rpm.
Legacy is one of a select group of cars that has been awarded top safety ratings from all corners of the earth, with 5-star ANCAP for Australasia, 5-star Euro NCAP for Europe and Top Safety Pick from NHTSA in the United States.
