Five-star safe

All new generation Subaru Legacy and Outback have been awarded a maximum ANCAP five-star safety rating.
Subaru entire range is five-star, with new Legacy and Outback joining Impreza (New Zealand’s safest ANCAP rated passenger car), Forester (New Zealand’s safest ANCAP rated SUV), and Tribeca.
In ANCAP tests, cars are subjected to a frontal offset crash test and a side impact test. To be considered for the coveted five-star status, they also have to undergo an optional pole test.
