THERE’S plenty on offer to get those artistic juices flowing during the holidays.
An exhibition by the tutors at Uxbridge, Howick’s creative centre, runs until February 1.
The show features pieces in different medium, including icon-ography, life drawing, cast glass, photography, realism and abstract painting.
The tutors are described as a “talented collective of full and part-time artists”.
The centre’s holiday programme includes pilates and yoga, while there are children’s workshops on making funky t-shirts, “crazy clay” and DIY ceramics.
The centre in Uxbridge Road now has its new brochure detailing future classes available.
People unsure about what course enrol in have the chance to find out more at a meet-the-tutors session in the gallery on Wednesday from 6-8pm.
Everyone through the doors on the evening will be automatically entered into a prize draw for a free class at Uxbridge.
A new tutor at the centre is Ria Van Rooyen, who has exhibited as a professional artist for the past 25 years in New Zealand and Africa.
She paints in all mediums, and her pictures often concentrate on the relationship between nature and mankind.
