Auckland Guitar School’s talented students put on their BIG annual concert for 2018 in September. There will be electric guitars, acoustic guitars, adults, kids, solo and band performances, and a big finale! Photo supplied.

If you’ve been trying to teach yourself to play the guitar and are not getting the results you hoped for, Auckland Guitar School can help.

Conveniently located in the heart of Howick Village, the School has been steadily building its reputation as Auckland’s only specialist modern guitar school for the last six years.

“We make sure the lessons are fun, and that everyone gets really solid foundations to their playing so they can take it wherever they want,” says owner Dylan Kay.

Trained at Berklee College of Music, Boston, and going on to teach at the biggest guitar school in Europe, Dylan built up a comprehensive curriculum uniquely tailored to meet the needs of the student while simultaneously teaching them the fundamentals of guitar, which he then brought with him to New Zealand.

The School caters for all ages and levels. Whether you’re a complete beginner or you’ve been playing for a while and just don’t know how to take your playing to the next level, their unique approach makes it simple to learn.

“It’s never too late to start, ” Dylan explains. “We find older students can make great progress as they have the time and the determination to succeed, and at the opposite end of the spectrum we love helping younger students with their playing.”

One of the big challenges budding guitarists face these days is the overwhelming amount of information available online.

“Many of our students started out trying to learn online and soon realised its shortcomings and that they needed something better. We’re able to offer a much more comprehensive approach to learning the guitar, and give you the right support so that you get faster results and have more fun doing it.”

As spaces are limited, get in quick to reserve your slot.

Visit the school’s website or call on 533 5246 to book your free intro session and find out how to transform your guitar playing.
